A PREVIEW OF YOUR DAY
INITIAL CONSULT
(12 months until event)
*Included in all packgages*
This will be our first face to face meeting to see if we are a good fit for each other. Please bring your spouse as this consult is less about your wedding day and more about getting to know you and your partner.
We will grab lunch (my treat), outline the needs for your event, and start to build a rapport with each other so we feel less like strangers and more like friends on your wedding day!
MUSIC CONSULT
(3 Months until event)
*Included in all packages*
90 days until the big day! It's been awhile, we should meet-up again.
This consult will focus on the music for your wedding day. We will discuss all the important songs of the day (first dance, father/daughter dance, etc...) as well as the overall sound you are looking for on your big day. Additionally we will discuss options regarding "games" at your reception.
ITINERARY CONSULT
(1 Month until event)
*Included in Pearl package*
A lot can change in 60 days. What is in? What is out? What are we changing?
We will meet to discuss changes regarding ANYTHING that has happened for your wedding. I like to be informed on all of the days happenings so nothing comes out as a surprise.
At this consult I will have an Hour-to-Hour itinerary for you and we can chat about what your day is going to look like as we get closer!
WEDDING REHEARSAL
(1 Day until event)
*Included in all packgages*
You mean to tell me that something has changed in your wedding AGAIN!? No worries, it happens all the time...
Typically I only come to rehearsal if I am also doing the ceremony, but if you only have a Reception Package we can use this as a final consult to tie up any and all loose ends. I'll see you tomorrow!
DJ SET-UP
12:00 PM
I typically show up to the venue about 90 minutes prior to the event. This gives me time to set-up, sound check, and acquaint myself with the other "staff" of your wedding.
GUESTS ARRIVE
1:30 PM
Guests typically start showing up 30 minutes prior to the event. I will be ready with over an hour of seating music to create a loving ambiance for your guests as they eagerly wait for your arrival.
CEREMONY
2:00 PM
Ladies and Gentlemen please stand for the Bride.
Ceremonies last anywhere from 15 minutes to 90 minutes. I will be there to provide music and sound for all of it.
Depending on the locations of your ceremony and reception, it is common for there to be about an hour break between the end of your ceremony and the social hour. This gives your guests a chance to do any last minute changes before the rest of the party (and your DJ a chance to beat your guests to the reception venue!).
SOCIAL HOUR
4:00 PM
Quite typically you and your wedding party are taking photos at this moment. Don't sweat it, your guests are handled. I will have a playlist for the cocktail hour to keep that ambiance as you and your wedding party finish up with those photos.
DINNER HOUR
5:00 PM
MAKE SOME NOISE FOR THE MR. AND MRS.!!!!!
Welcome to your reception! We will do a Grand Entrance for you and the wedding party and get this dinner going, I know you are hungry.
FORMAL HOUR
6:00 PM
We kick off formal hour with toasts. Typically I open the mic to the crowd after the Best Man and Maid of Honor have made their speeches. Once everyone has said their piece I will hand you and your spouse the microphone so you have an opportunity to address all of your guests as a whole.
Following toasts we will play the Shoe Game and then get into the formal dances of the evening. Once all the formalities are out of the way we will do a Snowball dance to get everyone out of their seats and on that dance floor!
DESSERT & DANCING
7:00 PM
(concludes Lace package)
We did it! Hard part's over... Only thing left for your two to do is cut the cake!
We will get dessert served to your guests and dance the night away with group dances and games throughout the night.
NEWLYWED HOUR
8:00 PM
This wedding was expensive! let's try and get some of that money back huh?
Newlywed hour consists of the bouquet toss, the garter auction, and the ever important Dollar Dance.
GAMES & REQUESTS
9:00 PM
The rest of the evening will be filled with dancing and games. Games consist of different forms of group dancing and props. I will be taking any and all requests (unless otherwise specified on THE NO LIST) ....and you can't forget about karaoke!
ADULT SWIM
11:00 PM
*optional*
Put the babies to bed, the big kids are trying to party...
Weddings are typically swarming with kids.
Music today is typically swarming with explicit language.
I try to keep it pretty PG-13 most of the night, but once the kiddos
are gone I don't mind diving into the deep end...at the couple's discretion of course.
LAST CALL!
12:00 AM
Last call for all requests!
The night is almost over...somebody play "Don't Stop Believin"!!!
FINAL DANCE
1:00 AM
I typically like to end the reception the same way I started it...
That's with you and your spouse on the center of the dance floor
leading us into our final dance of the evening.
DJ TEAR-DOWN
1:30 AM
At this point, the party is over.
I will continue to play a few songs via my phone and 1 speaker for the last remaining stragglers, but the night has come to an end and this guy has got a lot of packing up to do!
THANK YOUS & GOODBYES
2:00 AM
First one in. Last one out. And it was my pleasure.
Thank you for making me a part of your day and please drive safe!
